A moment in the year eagerly awaited - Jazz festival "Eclats d'Email" in Limoges. Two weeks of concerts and exhibitions around the subject of music and, for me as accredited photographer, photography.
This year I attended several concerts : Keziah Jones at the Limoges opera theatre, quartet AMG at espace Noriac, Sébastien Farge and the orchestra of the Opéra at the Opera theatre, Electro Deluxe at the Opera theatre, the CRR at the Conservatoire de Limoges, Henri Texier quintet at the Opera theatre, Daniel Garcia trio at the espace Noriac and Black Lives Matter at the Opera theatre.
My favourite concert : Daniel Garcia trio, a superb pianist who played a mixture of "standards" and his own compositions, beautiful and original.
Two disappointments : the concert Black lives matter - a cluttered stage and a number of pieces in a sort of rap style with no obvious relationship to the music, I didn't like it at all Then, regarding the administration, the Keziah Jones production team imposed a restriction : photos only during the first number - a totally ineffective restriction because the public ignored it and continued to use their phones, so in the end only the the accredited photographers, the pros, were prevented from shooting. Photos appeared on social media anyway, just not the good ones that would have been taken by the pros. Stupid !
