The 20 february I visited the exhibition of illuminated sculptures in the gardens of the Bishop's Palace in Limoges. It was a fine night, the only one of the week without rain, and we spent a pleasant hour or so amongst the impresive sculptures.
According to the organisers : L’Odyssée Lumineuse comprises 500 illumated sculptures of animals, fantasy creatures and scenes inspired by various cultures. In the ancient chinese tradition of "festival of lanterns", the spectacular event required 8km of silk, 26 tonnes of steel framework and 25,000 LED lamps. Impressive !
