Dance : Persistence of Vision

I have always been fascinated by the grace and dynamism of dancers and athletes.  In this series I wanted to show the beauty of the mouvements of a dancer and her costume, often too fleeting to be fully appreciated by the naked eye.

It required a rather complicated photographic technique using a combination of continuous light and flash to reveal both the energy and the poetic beauty of her movements.  And, of course, talented and especially very patient dancers : my sincere thanks to Gaëlle Lorth Laëtitia Billon.
